Report on 16th August, Peak (China) Co. Ltd. Established a 5 million’s Special Charity Fund. At 10 o’clock on the same day, they held the unveiling ceremony on the 5th floor’s meeting room of Technology and Science Bureau in the industry area at the south of Hui’an Town, in which Wanmin Lin, the leadership of Hui’an County Party Committee, participated.
During the ceremony, after Zhida Xu, the General Manager of Peak (China) Co. Ltd., finished the speech, the President of Hui’an Charity Federation took over the plateau of 5 million’s special fund donated by the General Manager Zhida Xu, and then delivered the appreciation speech.
Haitao Chen, the Deputy Chief of Hui’an County, gave highly confirmation for Peak’s movement. He said that Peak donated 5 million establishing the Charity Fund for scholarship and study grant to support the development of education and help poor students. This goodness of benefitting students and society boundlessly, fully reflected that Peak had a strong sense of social responsibility as a national enterprise. It is very good for the enhancement of Hui’an education to take substantive steps of socialized money donation.
It was understood that the original special fund was RMB 500,000,000 mainly for 3 projects including poor relief, scholarship and study grant. Peak (China) Co. Ltd. will pay RMB 250,000 as the special fund fee every year, among which 50,000 yuan for scholarship, 100,000 yuan for study grant, 100,000 yuan for poor relief. The granted targets are poor students with good academic performance all over the county. Every year, there are 65 students taking entrance examinations for high school or university selected by the County Education Bureau, who can get the special fund. The range of poor relief are the poor households of Southern Town Industrial Area, where locates the factory area of Peak (China) Co. Ltd. . According to incomplete statistics, Peak has donated more than 30 million funds and material in total since its establishment.
Zhida Xu, the General Manager of Peak (China) Co. Ltd., said that the establishment of charity fund was to carry forward Chinese traditional virtues of helping poor and being charitable in order to support and encourage Hui’an students to work hard, give a chance of being educated to the children in poor family and loss of school. He hoped sincerely that the students could take the poor as the ladder to success so that they could work hard and become useful for the country and society soon.
As so far, Peak Industrial Park at the south of Hui’an is the largest base of garment production in Hui’an, whose construction area is 170,000 squaremeters. When finishing the all-round construction, it will become the largest production base of Peak in Quanzhou, with production capacity of 10 million sets per year and 7000 employment chances.This industrial park is a modern international general-standard factory building, which centers products design, research and development, production and office. It will adopt ERP production control system for production managing, realize complete computer control from production to inspection. Personalized equipments, central air-conditioning in production departments, can make sure that workers can work in a comfortable environment.
