The snow’s ruthless but there’s love in the world. 2nd, Feb, Peak group greeted the people in the devastated area again. 3rd, February 2008, 10:30pm, in the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, the ceremony named “Love Melts Ice – Peak Group Denotation Ceremony” was held. The sitting Vice director of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, Hu Deping and Huang Yuejin; the staff from Ministry of Civil Affairs, CSPGP and the Red Cross Society of China also attended the ceremony. At the scene, Peak president Xu Jingnan denoted the cool-resistance clothes that worth 5 millions RMB to the devastated area. These clothes will be delivered to Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou and Anhui provinces.
The heavy snow caused a big disaster in over half China: the Beijing to Zhuhai express highway was blocked; Beijing to Guangzhou railway is out of electricity; these two main arteries of transport paralyzed at the same time! Vehicles stranded, passengers stranded, materials stranded; coal report an emergency, electricity report an emergency, communication report an emergency…a wide range of freezing rain and snow triggered a chain reaction, seriously affected all the aspects of people’s life. At this point, winter clothes are badly needed. So the 10 thousand winter clothes from Peak is the real timely assistance. At the denotation ceremony, Peak president Xu Jingnan said that, “As a national enterprise, it’s our obligation to fight calamities. This action is not only orally support and encouragement, but also a real and practical action. 2nd, February, FuJian, Peak group has initiated a denotation ceremony and has encouraged the staff to stay to spend the New Year. The rear personnel denoted 20000yuan and gave it to Quanzhou United Front Department and then transferred to Quanzhou Red Cross to deliver to the disaster area. The 5 millions winter clothes denoted today has been delivered to Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou and Anhui provinces. Accompanied by the order of “departure”, the carrier with Peak Logo started its journey.
